Towards the end of the 19th century, Nélie Jacquemart was a renowned portrait painter who made a living from her art. However, it was her marriage to Edouard André that enabled her to enter the bourgeoisie and devote herself to her passion for art, collecting works of art. On her death, she bequeathed her entire collection and properties to the Institut de France, enabling the creation of the Musée Jacquemart-André.
With this connected magnet, a QR code on the back will redirect you to an online discussion platform where you can ask Nélie Jacquemart about her taste for art, her life with Edouard André or her status of artist.
